This was the first course to be built at Celtic Manor, it opened in in 1995 and not only has it been host to the Welsh Open but it has also been crowned the top inland course in Wales by Golf Monthly. The course was esigned by Robert Trent Snr and take's it's name from the many ancient ruins of the Roman roads the golf course winds it's way around.
